IT’S BACK! Pamplemousse á la française

Before a sparkling water of the same name started trending in the American market, another grapefruit called pamplemousse had long been trending across France. Pamplemousse is French for “grapefruit”, and the French have long been making a wine...

What’s so special about Oregon?

What’s so special about Oregon?

You might be thinking of Bourget Imports as… well, an importer of wines from foreign lands. The truth is, about half of the Pinot Noir and one-third of Chardonnay wines in our portfolio are in fact domestic! With May being Oregon Wine Month, we can’t think of a better time to focus on our family of producers from the area…

  • 🎁A vertical of three great years of Vintage Ports from a stunning, family owned property.
Quinta de La Rosa has diverse vineyards spanning along the banks of the River Douro and beyond, up to 400 meters above sea level. Most are south and south west facing and are planted with an assortment of vines varying in both age and variety.
Their firm commitments to matching the vines to the site along with sustainable practices and encouraging biodiversity is evidence of their mantra, "our wines speak of the soil, the air, the sun from where they were grown." 2017 (95-WE, 95 - WS, 91-W&S, 95-WA)

  • Today the United States Trade Registrar (USTR) posted a possible expansion of the taxes that went into effect on wine in October 2019.

The proposed changes would broaden the products impacted to include nearly *all* still, sparkling, and fortified wines in 28 European Union countries, including those that were exempt under the October 2019 tariff.

TAKE ACTION NOW to make sure your voice is heard before the first hearing on January 9.

  • 🥂💛Lots of love for @arlenoble Rosé Terroirs Chouilly-Bisseuil!

AR Lenoble is the "Must-Try Fizz" according to @decanter (January, 2020) “Firm, almost crunchy in texture, this fresh rosé Champagne is lightly spiced and minerally, offering saline-laced flavors of dried white cherry, slivered almond, blood orange pith and lemon thyme. Satiny finish. Drink now through 2022.” - @wine_spectator , 92 “Mostly chardonnay from the Grand Cru village of Chouilly, with eight percent pinot noir, this is a rich and toasty rosé. It’s copper-pink in color and carries the fresh flavor of strawberries dusted with sugar, bright and a little citrusy. The chalky abrasion of Cote des Blancs acidity integrates into a lovely tension with the fruit, bringing you back for another taste.” - @wineandspirits , 90 "Produced from Chardonnay with the addition of red wine from Pinot Noir, this crisp, dry wine is well balanced. Its beautifully perfumed character is balanced by bright acidity and hints of maturity. The wine is ready to drink."
- @wineenthusiast , 90
