Market Visit: Jolie Laide – Scott & Jenny Schultz, Owners/Winemakers

Jolie-Laide Wines is the small, avant-garde project of husband-and-wife winemakers Scott and Jenny Schultz, based in Sonoma County, California. Founded in 2010, the label focuses on minimal-intervention wines made from organically farmed vineyards and often highlights uncommon grape varieties like Trousseau, Gamay, Melon de Bourgogne, and Cabernet Pfeffer.
Their philosophy is simple: whole-cluster fermentations, native yeasts, and neutral oak to let each vineyard site shine. The name “Jolie-Laide” translates loosely to “pretty-ugly,” a French term celebrating unconventional beauty—much like their distinctive, expressive wines.
We’re excited to welcome owners and winemakers Scott & Jenny Schultz, who will be here to share their wines and the story behind this unique California project – contact your Bourget Rep to schedule an appointment!
