Dutch founder Jess embarked on her quest for a good non-alcoholic winealternative back in 2008. Her journey began during a period of health-related abstinence from alcohol. This prompted her to seek out a good tasting non-alcoholic wine. When her search proved fruitless, she decided it was time for a change and she created her own and launched VINADA in May 2018.

Setting off to wine-rich regions of Spain and France, renowned for their premium wine-expertise, Jess explored various vineyards until she discovered the perfect grapes and skilled winegrowers who could craft VINADA’s 0% alcohol, 100% experience sparkling wines.

Fast forward 5 years, VINADA boasts +20 awards, a presence in +30 countries and expanding, and a lineup of three exquisite non-alcoholic wines.

How is alcohol free wine made?

The grapes are fermented and aged according to the traditional winemaking method. During this traditional vinification, the grapes are bruised very carefully and the skins begin to release their coloring to the juice, then gently pressed and the skins and juice separated. Fermentation then continues. The wine is de-alcoholised just before bottling. De-alcoholization takes place by means of vacuum extraction: The fully fermented base wine is dealcoholized under vacuum at a low temperature. The temperature is crucial for the taste. The lower the temperature during dealcoholization, the more aromas and thus taste are preserved. The volatile aromas of the wine are extracted simultaneously with the alcohol. The aromas are returned directly to the de-alcoholised wine. The wine is then purified, filtered and stabilized.
